Aftercare

Proper aftercare is essential for the healing of your tattoo and to ensure it stays vibrant for years to come.

• Wash your hands: Before touching your tattoo, always wash your hands thoroughly with soap.

If you experience any signs of infection, such as increased redness, swelling, or discharge, please contact us immediately or consult a healthcare professional.

Cleaning your tattoo

• Leave the bandage on for maximum 4 hours.

• Second skin can be left on for 2-3 days. (remove it early if you feel a burning sensation or water got under the skin, this can cause infections)

• Gently wash your tattoo: After removing the bandage, gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Use your hands—avoid any cloth or sponge.

• Pat dry: Gently pat the tattoo dry with a paper towel (do not rub). The reason we use paper towel is because it doesn't leave little tiny fibres behind, what can effect the outcome of your healed tattoo.

Caring for your tattoo

•  Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment: Use a recommended ointment (like cocoa butter, shea butter) for the first 3-5 days. A thin layer is enough.

•Too much moisturizing can harm your tattoo

• Don't need to cover it up anymore. Let it breathe. ( cover it for the first 2 nights if you have pets or if your artist advised you to do so.)

Special Attention

• Avoid direct sunlight: Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight until it’s fully healed (usually around 2-4 weeks).

• No swimming: Do not submerge your tattoo in pools, hot tubs, or bodies of water until it is fully healed.

• Wear loose clothing: Avoid tight clothing that can rub against the tattoo during the healing process.

Long-Term Care

• Keep it moisturized: Continue moisturizing

your tattoo for several months after the

healing process to keep your skin healthy and the tattoo vibrant.

• Sun protection: Always use sunscreen on your tattoo once it’s healed. The sun can fade your tattoo over time, so applying SPF 30 or higher will help preserve your artwork.
